South Pacific
The South Pacific Islands have great beaches and coral reefs that provide perfect venues for snorkeling and scuba diving. The Northern Mariana Islands, Fiji, Kiribati, and Federated States of Micronesia offer some of the best dive sites. Each island has something unique to offer to tourists apart from the beaches. Pitcairn Island has lots of artifacts related to the Mutiny on the Bounty while Samoa is home to R.L Stevenson’s home Valima that has now been converted into a museum. The South Pacific also famed for its natural scenic beauty, which is evident in the Mataniko Falls and the Lake Te'Nggano on the Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea’s Lake Kutubu and Tonga’s blowholes of 'Mapu'a 'a Vaca,' where geyser-like fountains of seawater spout out through the natural vents in the coral limestone. There is also a pre-historical archaeological site in Tuvalu.
