Central Africa
Central Africa, despite the current tensions in the region still retains its natural beauty. Scenic attractions in Central Africa include the splendid Tibesti Mountains of Chad and the great rainforest basin of the Congo River in Democratic Republic of Congo. Central Africa is also home to national parks such as Chad’s Zakouma National Park. Central Africa Republic’s Baoli Waterfalls (Chutes de Baoli) hurtling down from a height of 50 meters also warrants a trip.
Note: Central Africa is a trouble prone area at the moment with most of the countries in the region experiencing civil wars and clashes between the government and rebel forces, so caution is advised and you should check local advisories before traveling in the region.
