The legendary Red Sox play baseball at Fenway Park (Kenmore subway on the Green "T" line). The 26.2-mile Boston Marathon , first run in 1897, is now held on Patriot's Day, the third week in April, and finishes on Boylston Street at Copley Square (tel 617/236-1652, ).
